In this regard, quite a few players had a tough time in IPL 2025. Hence, their respective teams might release them and there is a chance that these players may not get a bid again.
1) Moeen Ali
Moeen Ali got quite a few games to show his potential. A lot was expected from the bowl by the English veteran. However, he was very poor for KKR. In many games, he got hit for sixes easily, and eventually, he was dropped from the squad. It is now easy for KKR to make a decision about him. Someone like Michael Bracewell could be a better fit for the side.
2) Faf du Plessis had a poor run in IPL 2025
Faf du Plessis had a stellar run in the last cycle. Hence, despite his age, Delhi Capitals took a punt on him. He was also named as the vice-captain. However, it is clear that age is catching up with the veteran cricketer. He could not make a lot of runs, and it appears that his reflexes are getting the better of him. Considering his age, it is very unlikely that DC would retain him, and any other team will buy him.
3) Karim Janat
The Afghan cricketer getting a gig was a surprise in the first place. He played in just one game for the Gujarat Titans and he was very poor, especially with the ball. Considering his skills as a T20 cricketer, it would be a shock if he gets a gig in the IPL again.
