The Rest of India squad for the Irani Trophy 2024 was announced recently. Here, we take a look at the list of three players who seem to be out of India’s plans after their non-selection for the Irani Trophy 2024. Before that, here is a look at the squad:

1) Rajat Patidar
Rajat Patidar played for India against England. Despite this, he does not feature in the ROI squad. That has to do with a poor debut series and an unconvincing outing in Duleep Trophy 2024. It seems that India has other options in the mind for the middle order. The likes of Abhimanyu Easwaran could also be used there.
2) R Sai Kishore will not play in the Irani Trophy 2024
R Sai Kishore is one of the players who seem to be out of India’s plans after their non-selection for the Irani Trophy 2024. He was the highest wicket-taker in the recent Ranji Trophy campaign. Hence, many expected him to be selected for the Indian Team soon. However, it appears that Manav Suthar has taken the lead in this regard. Of course, there is also Axar Patel in the race.
3) Arshdeep Singh
A few weeks ago, many felt that Arshdeep Singh would make his Test debut. However, he was not selected for the Bangladesh series and now, he is also not in the Rest of India squad. Hence, it is most likely that he will not be featured in the test plans in the future. Already, Yash Dayal seems to have been identified as the candidate for the left-arm pacer’s spot in the Test squad.
