IPL 2023 Mini Auction will reportedly happen on December 16. The venue for the auction is yet to be finalized, but it will be a mini auction consisting of the players who are free agents right now and the ones who will be released by the 10 teams ahead of the auction.
Like every year, the BCCI opened a trading window for the teams to trade their players and ask for players from other teams. A report by Cricbuzz has stated that some teams have been very active in terms of asking and making offers. However, not a single player has been traded so far.
In this article now, we will list down the three contracted players who were asked to be traded from one team to another before IPL 2023.
1. Delhi Capitals wanted Ravindra Jadeja for IPL 2023
Delhi Capitals and one more team asked for Ravindra Jadeja from Chennai Super Kings. As per reports, CSK and Jadeja are not on the best terms right now. Some reports have even claimed that the star all-rounder, who was the highest-paid player of the team in IPL 2022, will be released.
To ensure that they did not face much competition from other teams, Delhi Capitals straightaway asked for Jadeja from CSK in the trading window. However, Chennai rejected the offer.
2. Rahul Tewatia
Rahul Tewatia was a match-winner for the Gujarat Titans in IPL 2022. He played an important role in the team’s number one finish on the points table. As a result, one of the teams asked for him in the trading window. However, the offer was rejected by GT.
3. R Sai Kishore
Another Gujarat Titans player to feature on the list is R Sai Kishore. The left-arm spinner was quite impressive in IPL 2022 and will continue to be with GT as they rejected a trade offer for him.
