However, BCCI posted a series of pictures, probably hinting at India’s playing XI for the big clash. The official handle of BCCI posted pictures of KL Rahul and Rohit Sharma together, followed by Virat Kohli, Suryakumar Yadav, Hardik Pandya, Rishabh Pant, Dinesh Karthik, Bhuvneshwar Kumar, Yuzvendra Chahal, Avesh Khan, and Arshdeep Singh.

Surprisingly, they left out the likes of Ravindra Jadeja, Ravi Ashwin, Deepak Hooda and Ravi Bishnoi, who are also part of the Indian squad for the six-team tournament. Fans are guessing that the BCCI has leaked the playing XI as the images are perfectly placed in the sequence of the batting order.

The match is going to happen at the same venue at which Pakistan handed a humiliating 10-wicket defeat to the Men in Blue in the 2021 edition of the T20 World Cup. Thus, the Rohit Sharma-led side would want to avenge their loss when they take on the Men in Green.

While Pakistan will miss the services of their ace pacer Shaheen Afridi who was ruled out due to an injury, India will be without their pace duo Jasprit Bumrah and Harshal Patel. Even the experienced pacer Mohammed Shami was ignored by the selectors who is fully fit to play.

The tournament will be crucial for Virat Kohli, who has been struggling with the bat for quite some time now. Though he has scored 60-70s, the typical Virat Kohli innings is yet to come. The former Indian skipper would be eager to make a mark straight from the beginning and find his touch ahead of the mega-event in October this year.
