Virat Kohli vs Naveen-ul-Haq chapter seems to have ended. The two cricketers had an ugly spat during the 2023 edition of the Indian Premier League, which happened in India earlier this year. Kohli played for the Royal Challengers Bangalore, whereas Naveen was playing his debut season for the Lucknow Super Giants.
During the match between Lucknow Super Giants and Royal Challengers Bangalore, there was a war of words between Naveen and Kohli. It continued after the match as well. After the game ended, Naveen would post Instagram stories of sweet mangoes whenever Kohli or RCB would not perform well.
The entire world was waiting to see Naveen-ul-Haq bowl against Virat Kohli soon. It was not possible in IPL 2023, but it happened in the ICC World Cup match between India and Afghanistan earlier today in Delhi. Instead of continuing their fight, Virat and Naveen decided to hug each other and make a new start to their friendship.
Royal Challengers Bangalore loved the hug between the two players. They posted a picture of the same on X and wrote:
“Virat (handshake emoji) Naveen. In the King’s realm, grudges find no place.”

“Virat told lets finish it and I also said lets finish it”- Naveen-ul-Haq ends spat with Kohli
After the match ended, Naveen-ul-Haq revealed that it was a suggestion from the Indian batter himself to end the fight that they had in IPL 2023. Here’s what Naveen disclosed as reported by Abhishek Tripathi:
“What happens on the field, happens inside the field, nothing outside, after shaking hands, Virat told lets finish it and I also said lets finish it.”

There will be a bilateral series between India and Afghanistan in India next year. The next battle between Virat and Naveen may happen during that series.
