LSG made quite a few debatable signings in the IPL 2026 Auctions. Here, we take a look at the list of three players whom LSG bid for and should have signed for IPL 2026.
Even in the IPL 2025 Auctions, LSG made a few mistakes at the auctions. This time, too, they were not at their best. It needs to be seen how they do in IPL 2026.
1) Liam Livingstone
LSG eventually signed Josh Inglis for a big fee. Interestingly, Inglis would not be available for all the games. Instead, LSG should have gone for Livingstone. He offered more in the finishing department and also added depth with his bowling.
2) Venkatesh Iyer is one of the players whom LSG bid for and should have signed for IPL 2026
LSG needed at least one more experienced Indian batter in the line-up. Venkatesh would have made sense and that would have allowed the team to play an extra foreign bowler. Hence, they should have gone for Venkatesh.
3) Kartik Sharma
LSG has a lot of young finishers. They could have added one more in the ranks in the form of Kartik. He could have been a good backup or could have even been a starter at No.6 or No.7.
