Barring the last season, RCB has actually been a consistent side in recent seasons. Hence, some of the players would be in demand. On that note, here, we take a look at three RCB players who could be targeted by other franchises in the IPL 2024 Trade Window.
RCB now has a new management with Andy Flower as the Head Coach. Hence, some of the players from the previous edition could be released. If a trade proposal comes, as well, they could be released.
1) Harshal Patel
There are a few reports in the media that state that Kolkata Knight Riders are interested in Harshal Patel. The player’s salary is a hurdle but if KKR can offer a different cricketer, this trade deal could actually happen. If not a trade, Harshal is likely to be released before the auctions. His consistency has been poor and his salary is very high. RCB could target a younger pacer at the auctions.
2) Akash Deep could be a target in the IPL 2024 Trade Window
Akash Deep is one of the RCB players who could be targeted by other franchises in the IPL 2024 Trade Window. After the first couple of games, Akash did not get a chance last season. While he is likely to be released, it needs to be noted that Akash is currently sitting on a package that is equal to his base price. An Asian Games gold medallist, Akash could attract different teams due to his salary and his potential. Hence, he is on this list.
3) Finn Allen
Finn Allen has been at RCB for a while but is yet to make his debut. His form is not very great in recent times and that could put him under the scanner by the RCB management. Also, with Mike Hesson having been released, there are not many at the franchise who know the potential of the player very closely. Since his salary is also small, some teams could be interested in the Kiwi wicket-keeping opener.
