T20 World Cup 2024 will take place next year in the United States of America and West Indies. ICC had previously confirmed that the USA and WI will host the mega event, but there is a slight chance of the tournament being moved to England.
The T20 World Cup is the pinnacle of T20I cricket, and every team aims to become the champion in this format. India won the inaugural edition of this tournament, which happened back in the year 2007. Since India have never won the T20 World Cup despite making it to the semifinals multiple times.
After India’s 10-wicket loss against England in T20 World Cup 2022, there was a belief that a change may come in the T20I side. The same has reflected in recent times with senior players being rested for the shortest format of the game. Hardik Pandya has been leading the team.

1. Virat Kohli may return for T20 World Cup 2024
Virat Kohli was one of the main reasons behind India’s semifinal qualification in T20 World Cup 2022. He was in good form while playing for the Royal Challengers Bangalore in the Indian Premier League as well. There is no reason why he cannot make a comeback in T20I cricket.
2. Mohammed Shami may return for T20 World Cup 2024
Fast bowler Mohammed Shami showed off his tremendous form in the recent IPL season, where he won the Purple Cap award. If used well, Shami can be an asset for the Indian cricket team in the T20 World Cup, scheduled to happen next year.
3. Ravindra Jadeja
Ravindra Jadeja proved in the IPL 2023 Final why he is one of the biggest match-winners in the world. Considering that Jadeja can contribute in batting, bowling as well as fielding, it should not be a surprise if he returns for the mega event.
