3 T20 specialists India should try for remaining 3 Tests to tackle England’s Bazball Approach

    202

The five-match test series between India and England is spicing up as both teams have won one game each in the first two. England won the first match, while India won the second. The third test match will begin on February 5, after a nine-day gap in Rankot. The Indian selection committee has not announced the squad for the remaining matches. The squad is likely to be announced in one or two days.

It might see some changes, as there are a few players who are expected to come back. KL Rahul might come back, and there are chances that we will see Virat Kohli in the series. But India can do some experiments to tackle England’s bazball approach. Notably, England has carried on their aggressive approach to spinning conditions, which has done well for them. So India can pick some T20 specialists that can help India do well in the series.

    3. Arshdeep Singh

Arshdeep Singh can be a great addition to India’s test team. He can be the second pacer for India, along with Jasprit Bumrah. He will bring his left-arm angle, swing the ball, and not forget his yorker. Mohammed Shami is not fit and might miss the series. So India can try out Arshdeep to partner Bumrah instead of Mohammed Siraj or Mukesh Kumar.

    2. Shivam Dube

The English team has gone with the spin-heavy side in both test matches, and that is expected to be their plan for the remaining games. Indian batters have found it hard playing against the English spinners. Shubman Gill, Shreyas Iyer, KS Bharat, and even Rohit Sharma have struggled in the series. So India can try to add Shivam Dube, who is an exceptional player against spinners, and his all-round skill can be another benefit for India.

    1. Rinku Singh

Rinku Singh has been exceptional for India since he joined the team. He has scored runs in difficult situations and shown a lot of composure. And who doesn’t want Rinku to play test matches? He can be a brilliant bowler who can play like Rishabh Pant does with the spinners. Rinku’s addition can give a chance to tackle the English bowlers and put them under pressure.
