IPL has been the platform for many talented batters to take the step to the next level. Here, we take a look at the list of three talented Indian batters who might make their debut in IPL 2024.
In IPL 2024 Auctions, though, the focus for teams was more on bowlers. Wicket-keepers were also in demand while all-rounders also got some good bids. However, specialist batters did not have a great outing.
1) Arishin Kulkarni
Arishin Kulkarni might be regarded as an all-rounder but for India in the recent U19 World Cup, he played more as a batter. In fact, he opened the batting for the team. He was picked up by LSG in the recent auctions. LSG might have some scope for a top-order Indian batter in the coming season. Hence, it won’t be a surprise if we see Arishin get his debut cap.
2) Sameer Rizvi is one of the batters who could make their debut in IPL 2024
It was for a reason that so many teams were interested in Sameer Rizvi. The Uttar Pradesh cricketer got a bid in excess of INR 8 Cr. He will play for Chennai Super Kings in IPL 2024. CSK needed a good Indian player of spin to slot in the middle order. Hence, they went hard for Sameer Rizvi. He might be the direct replacement for Ambati Rayudu and could play right from the first game for the team.
3) Saurav Chauhan
Not many are aware but Saurav Chauhan is a pretty good cricketer going around in domestic cricket. He was picked at his base price by RCB in the IPL 2024 Auctions. A left-handed big-hitter, Saurav can also keep wickets at times. Hence, he might make his debut for the franchise in IPL 2024.
