IPL is a tournament for youngsters. In every edition, we see a handful of names playing their first game in the IPL. Here, we take a look at the list of three talented Indian pacers who might make their debut in IPL 2024.
India still has a scope for improvement when it comes to the pace attack. Therefore, there is context when we witness every new debutante in the IPL. In this regard, as in the previous seasons, IPL 2024 will also be critical.
1) Vidwath Kaverappa
Last year, the Karnataka pacer was with Punjab Kings but could not make his debut. After IPL 2023, he showed terrific form, picking wickets in both the longer and the ODI formats. However, in T20s, he is yet to fully find his feet. Nevertheless, with the introduction of Impact Player, Vidwath’s strength with the new ball could be utilized. If Kagiso Rabada is not playing due to any reason, Vidwath could be the choice to share the new ball with Arshdeep Singh.
2) Rajan Kumar might make his debut in IPL 2024
Rajan Kumar is one of the talented Indian pacers who might make their debut in IPL 2024. Like Vidwath, even Rajan was with an IPL side last year but could not make his debut. RCB now has Yash Dayal, who might get the first preference. However, Rajan is a talented left-arm pacer and might get a few games. He can bowl at multiple phases and that is one of his strengths.
3) Sushant Mishra
Mumbai Indians and Gujarat Titans were involved in a bidding war for Sushant Mishra, with the latter hiring the player. He has also been with RCB before as an intern. Sushant Mishra from Jharkhand is a talented left-arm pacer. GT does not have too many domestic options in this regard and hence, Sushant Mishra could make his debut.
