1) Kolkata Knight Riders
KKR needs a foreign opener, and they might prefer a wicket-keeper. That said, if they can get an Indian wicket-keeper who can bat in the middle order, they could explore various options for the role of an opener. Here is where someone like JFM could fit the bill. He might be the ideal replacement for Phil Salt, and hence, KKR could go for him.
2) Punjab Kings can target Jake Fraser-McGurk
PBKS has a solid Indian opening combination, but it is always good to have a backup. Ricky Ponting groomed JFM and also almost hired him for PBKS. Therefore, it would not be a surprise if the coach went for him again. Therefore, PBKS is on the list.
3) Chennai Super Kings
CSK could release both Rachin Ravindra and Devon Conway because of their poor run in IPL 2025. While they have Ayush Mhatre, it is always preferred to have a foreign opener as well. CSK is looking at youngsters, and hence, they could go for the Aussie. If he performs well, CSK will have locked a solid candidate for the future.
