Tamil Nadu Premier League is one of the premier regional T20 competitions in India. It has become an elite feeder tournament for the IPL with many youngsters such as B Sai Sudharsan doing well in IPL. However, Chennai Super Kings is yet to make full use of the tournament. Yes, the franchise has been winning trophies but the local fans will be pleased if any of their homegrown cricketers do well for CSK and maybe even go on to play for Team India. On that note, here, we take a look at the list of three talented TNPL 2023 players whom CSK must look to trade before IPL 2024.

    1) Shahrukh Khan – Punjab Kings

Shahrukh Khan played quite a few games for PBKS in IPL 2023 but was just not able to set the scene on fire. Interestingly, in TNPL 2023, Shahrukh is the Purple Cap Holder right now. CSK needs a replacement for Ambati Rayudu and Shahrukh could be a good option to try. Money will be an issue but if CSK takes a bold decision to release Ben Stokes, this might be possible.

    2) Sonu Yadav – Royal Challengers Bangalore

Sonu Yadav is one of the three talented TNPL 2023 players whom CSK must look to trade before IPL 2024. The bowling all-rounder did not get a game for RCB in IPL 2023. However, he is doing well in TNPL 2023 and might fancy a chance next season. CSK might need some good backup Indian fast bowlers and Sonu fits the profile well at CSK. Therefore, he is on this list.

    3) Murugan Ashwin – Rajasthan Royals

Murugan Ashwin has not been exactly brilliant in TNPL but he would be a worthy option for CSK to consider. Leg spin is one area in which CSK has not been able to impact in recent seasons. Prashant Solanki is too young and he is not playing a lot of domestic games. In this scenario, it does make sense to have someone like M Ashwin on the roster. He adds experience to the spin attack and might even do well like how Piyush Chawla did for Mumbai Indians in the recently concluded campaign.
