Not always does an IPL franchise look at the wickets column and pick a player. They scout a cricketer well and then make a decision. Here, we take a list of three top bowlers from TNPL 2024 who could get selected in IPL 2025 Auctions.
TNPL has produced some fine bowlers in the previous IPL editions. The likes of T Natarajan, R Sai Kishore and Varun CV all fall in this category. A few more could get added in the coming seasons.
1) R Sonu Yadav
The former RCB all-rounder picked 9 wickets in 7 games at a decent economy of close to seven. A medium-pacer, Sonu exhibited some fine variations to pick a lot of wickets. Since he is also a big hitter in the lower order, a few teams could sign him as a future prospect. In his only IPL stint with RCB, he did not get any game.
2) Jhathavedh Subramanyan
The young leg-spinner is one of the top bowlers from TNPL 2024 who could get selected in the IPL 2025 Auctions. He currently has an IPL contract but may continue. That said, he could be in demand in the bidding event. He can bowl leg-spin and can be defensive in his approach. Thus, he could be a very big contender to be a part of a spin attack in IPL 2025.
3) P Vignesh from TNPL could find a bid in IPL 2025 Auctions
Be it R Sai Kishore or M Siddharth, TNPL has been successful in giving fine left-arm spinners to IPL. The trent could continue with P Vignesh. He can bowl in the powerplay and also does well in the other phases. Every IPL franchise needs to have at least one or two left-arm spinners in the squad. In this regard, Vignesh will be a suitable investment.
