T20 World Cup 2024 is two years away but given how bad India performed in the semifinal of the ongoing T20 WC, the selectors would have already started to think about the next mega event. West Indies and the United States of America will host the T20 World Cup for the first time in the year 2024.
Courtesy of their good performance in the Super 12 round of T20 World Cup 2022, Team India have earned a direct entry into the 2024 edition of the mega event. However, it is highly unlikely that the same squad of 15 players will don the blue jersey for India in the West Indies and the USA two years later. There is a possibility that a few uncapped names may come into the mix.

1. Rajat Patidar should be in the mix for T20 World Cup 2024
Royal Challengers Bangalore star Rajat Patidar showed in IPL 2022 that he does not feel the pressure of big stage. He scored a century in IPL playoffs and also played a great knock against the Rajasthan Royals in the second Qualifier match.
Given how the Indian batters struggled to score runs in semifinals against England, Rajat Patidar should be a name to be groomed for the next mega event.
2. Mohsin Khan should be in the mix for T20 World Cup 2024
Left-arm fast bowlers bring an ‘X-factor’ element to the team. Arshdeep Singh made such a big difference to the Indian bowling lineup. Lucknow Super Giants star Mohsin Khan could make a similar difference with his fantastic bowling skills.
3. Abhishek Sharma
SunRisers Hyderabad all-rounder Abhishek Sharma is another talented youngster who deserves to play at the international level. He is a versatile player who can play as an opener and a finisher. Also, he can bowl left-arm spin whenever needed. Players like him will give the team some much-needed flexibility.
