Shardul Thakur, who went unsold in IPL 2025 Mega Auctions, has bagged a contract in the County Championship. Here, we take a look at the list of three unsold Indian players who must play in the County during IPL 2025.
With the England Tour around, players who are not in the IPL must target a spot in the Indian side. Playing and doing well in the England domestic circuit is a good idea.
1) Sarfaraz Khan
Sarfaraz Khan did not play a single game in Australia. He must first make a point that he is capable of doing well in the SENA countries. He can do that by getting some big runs in the County Championship. This way, the selectors may not only pick him but could also give him a chance in the playing XI.
2) Mayank Agarwal must emulate Shardul Thakur by joining the County
Mayank Agarwal is one of the unsold Indian players who must play in the County during IPL 2025. If Rohit Sharma does not play in the England series, it will be interesting to see who becomes the backup opener. Mayank is not known for his displays abroad but like Sarfaraz, he can prove a point by doing well in the County.
3) Abhimanyu Easwaran
When India was in England the last time around, as well, Easwaran was a part of the side. However, he is yet to make his debut so far. That said, his chance is just around the corner. If he does well in the County, it is inevitable that he gets a game in England.
