IPL is a tournament in which players operate under pressure and against quality opposition. This is surely a good measure to understand the skills of a player, especially when he is put under a circumstance.
1) Jalaj Saxena could not have a memorable IPL career
Jalaj Saxena is one player who has been doing well in the last few years. Yet, he has never come very close to the Indian Team. He is a quality right-arm spinner and a handy bat in the lower order. It is disappointing that Jalaj may not get to play for India in the future as he is 37 years old right now.
2) Priyank Panchal
Priyank Panchal is also one of the active cricketers who could have played for India by now if they had a good IPL career. The Gujarat batter came close to making his India debut on many occasions. However, he never got the cap. He scored plenty of runs at the domestic level but still, he could not get the nod. He is also close to 35 and yet, making his debut could be hard for him now.
3) Abhimanyu Easwaran could have played for India by now if he had a good IPL career
The West Bengal batter is a consistent top-order batter. He also came close to making his debut but could never happen. That said, if he can continue his form, he can still make it to the Indian squad. If he can work on his T20 game, as well, it could help him in the long run.
4) Sarfaraz Khan
Sarfaraz Khan is one of the active cricketers who could have played for India by now if they had a good IPL career. Although he showed a lot of potential in the IPL, he just could not make it. In IPL 2024 Auctions, he was unsold. Nevertheless, in Tests, he is in top form. He has already brought the door down but yet, the India call-up is not coming.
