    The trend hit Indian cricket recently as the likes of Siddharth Trivedi, Smit Patel, Unmukt Chand and Bipul Sharma retired from Indian cricket and moved to the USA. This trend was in full flow in 2022 as well. Here’s a list of four such cricketers who changed their countries in 2022.

    1. One of the current Australian cricketers – Tim David

    The most popular name on this list is Tim David. The hard-hitting batter first represented his home country Singapore at the international level. However, ahead of T20 World Cup 2022, David switched to Australia. He made his debut in the away series against India.

    2. One of the new Zimbabwe cricketers – Gary Ballance

    The latest name on this list is Gary Ballance. Many fans would remember that the batter once played for England. However, he has ended his association with the ECB now and returned to his home nation Zimbabwe.

    3. Daniel Jakiel

    While Gary Ballance has returned to Zimbabwe, former Zimbabwean cricketer Daniel Jakiel left the team to play for Malawi. He played T20I cricket for Zimbabwe in 2019 and now he plays for the Malawi team.

    4. Michael Rippon

    Bowling all-rounder Michael Rippon played for the Netherlands team when the year started. He then played for New Zealand. Interestingly, in the first half of 2022, he played for the Netherlands against the New Zealand cricket team.
