    The player’s draft for the upcoming Caribbean Premier League 2023 was announced on June 30 (Friday). It saw some big names from all across the world, including the West Indies, Pakistan, Australia, South Africa, England, and Sri Lanka, were picked by the six CPL franchises.

    The 2023 edition is all set to kick off on August 16. The player’s draft also saw some players from Chennai Super Kings who got picked by the CPL franchises to feature in the coming season. Here, we will talk about four CSK players who are part of the CPL 2023 draft.

    4 CSK players who are part of CPL 2023 Draft

    1. Dwayne Bravo

    Veteran CSK superstar DJ Bravo has won numerous games for the five-time IPL champions in the tournament on his own. Though he has become the bowling coach for Chennai, he is still playing in other T20 leagues. In CPL 2023, he will play for the Trinbago Knight Riders, along with Kieron Pollard, Andre Russell, and Sunil Narine.

    2. Matheesha Pathirana

    Known for his slingy bowling action, Sri Lankan Matheesha Pathirana was one of the key players in CSK’s winning the IPL 2023 season. He picked up 19 wickets in 12 games for his team and helped them win their fifth IPL title. Pathirana will also feature in the upcoming CPL season. Notably, he will be playing with DJ Bravo for the Trinbago Knight Riders.

    3. Maheesh Theekshana

    Another Sri Lanka bowler who was a key member for the Chennai Super Kings in the IPL 2023 was Maheesh Theekshana. The mystery spinner played 13 games for the team, including the final, and picked up 11 wickets at an economy rate of 8. Theekshana will be playing for the Barbados Royals in the CPL 2023.

    4. Dwaine Pretorius

    Former South African all-rounder Dwaine Pretorius has been part of the Chennai Super Kings since 2022. Though he played only one game in the IPL 2023, he has been a key player in the squad. Pretorius has already retired from international cricket and will be playing in the Caribbean Premier League 2023 for the Guyana Amazon Warriors.
