CSK spent a big amount to sign Piyush Chawla in IPL 2020. However, the matches did not happen in Chennai that season. A similar continued in 2021 and 2022 as well, but IPL switching to home and away format soon, someone like Chawla can be handy in spin-friendly conditions.
2. Chennai Super Kings can bid for Amit Mishra
Amit Mishra is hungry and wants to prove himself as a match-winner again in IPL. CSK can smartly use him only in their home matches. Also, he can be like a mentor to the young spinners of the franchise.
3. Jaydev Unadkat
Jaydev Unadkat had the best IPL season of his life when he played with MS Dhoni for Rising Pune Supergiant. The conditions at Chepauk will suit a bowler like Unadkat. On top of that, his left-arm pace will add variety to CSK’s bowling lineup.
4. Karun Nair
Karun Nair is an extremely talented cricketer who has not received consistent opportunities in the league. CSK can utilize him in the middle-order. As Robin Uthappa and DJ Bravo have retired, CSK need a reliable batting option for IPL 2023.
