Texas Super Kings have grabbed the headlines by signing some big names for the inaugural season of the Major League Cricket in USA. As the name of the team suggests, this franchise is owned by Chennai Super Kings IPL team owners only.

CSK first invested in South Africa’s T20 league, SA20, where they bought the Johannesburg franchise. Now, in USA, they have invested in the Texas franchise, based out from Dallas. This team will feature nine players from outside the United States of America. Eight of them, including Faf du Plessis, Dwayne Bravo and Ambati Rayudu, have been signed.

Since the Chennai Super Kings have signed former players of their IPL team in the MLC, there is a possibility that the ninth and final overseas signing will also be a former IPL star. Here’s a list of the four players that Texas Super Kings can target.

    1. Texas Super Kings might target Suresh Raina

Former CSK captain Suresh Raina was recently announced to participate in the Lanka Premier League Auction, but his name was not called at the auction in Sri Lanka. It seems like Raina may have pulled out of the tournament at the last moment because he may have received an offer from TSK.

    2. Texas Super Kings might go for Robin Uthappa

After retiring from IPL last year, Robin Uthappa has played for India Maharajas in Legends League Cricket. He also turned up for the Dubai Capitals in International League T20. It should not be a surprise if TSK rope him in for MLC.

    3. Harbhajan Singh

Former Chennai Super Kings off-spinner Harbhajan Singh has retired from IPL and international cricket, but he has represented the India Maharajas in Legends League Cricket. He will also play for the Brampton Wolves in Global T20 Canada. Hence, Singh could be in contention to join TSK.

    4. Murali Vijay

Former CSK opener Murali Vijay played an important role in the Chennai-based team’s success in the Indian Premier League. Vijay has retired from IPL to play in other leagues. Perhaps, he can return in the yellow colors with Faf du Plessis for TSK.
