The much-awaited Legends League Cricket 2023 will start this Friday at the Asian Town Cricket Stadium in Qatar. Three teams, namely Asia Lions, World Giants and India Maharajas will compete in the LLC Masters 2023 tournament. Last year, when Oman hosted the tournament, the World Giants beat the Asia Lions in the final to become the inaugural champions.
India Maharajas played with a depleted squad because some star players missed out due to off-field reasons. This year, the Maharajas have named a star-studded squad, featuring several IPL legends. Four ex-players of the IPL’s most successful team, Mumbai Indians, will also compete in the India Maharajas team. Here’s a list of the four former MI players who will play for India Maharajas in Legends League 2023.
1. Harbhajan Singh will play for India Maharajas in Legends League 2023
Harbhajan Singh is a former Indian off-spinner who captained the Mumbai Indians in their first-ever IPL match. Singh later played for the Chennai Super Kings and the Kolkata Knight Riders as well. He has retired now and will play for the India Maharajas team in LLC 2023.
2. Stuart Binny will play for India Maharajas in Legends League 2023
Not many fans would know that former Indian all-rounder Stuart Binny started his Indian Premier League career with the Mumbai Indians. Binny later played for multiple franchises. He has now retired and will turn up for the India Maharajas team as well.
3. Praveen Kumar will play for India Maharajas in LLC 2023
India Maharajas have not officially announced Praveen Kumar’s participation, but he has been spotted traveling to Qatar for the mega event of legends. It is likely that he will be playing for the India Maharajas.
4. Robin Uthappa
Another member of IPL 2008 Mumbai Indians team who will play for India Maharajas is Robin Uthappa. He represented CSK last year and will make his LLC debut in 2023.
