Gujarat Titans made their Indian Premier League debut in 2022, and in just one year, the Ahmedabad-based franchise have become one of the most popular teams in cricket. Hardik Pandya is the captain of the team. GT will play their second IPL season this year, with the first match set to happen against Chennai Super Kings at the Narendra Modi Stadium.
The Titans have assembled a strong squad for the 2023 edition of the Indian Premier League. Many of their players play in overseas T20 leagues, including the ongoing Pakistan Super League tournament. Four squad members of the Ahmedabad-based franchise have contracts in PSL 2023. Here’s a list of those four Gujarat Titans stars.
1. Gujarat Titans vice-captain Rashid Khan
The biggest name present on the list is Rashid Khan. The Afghanistan leg-spinner made history last year by becoming the first player from his nation to lead an IPL side. In the PSL, he is currently playing for the Lahore Qalandars.
2. Odean Smith
New signing of the Gujarat-based franchise, Odean Smith, is also playing in the Pakistan Super League. He is a hard-hitting all-rounder from West Indies. Smith is playing for the Quetta Gladiators.
3. Matthew Wade
Australian wicket-keeper batter Matthew Wade has earned contracts from multiple franchises after his good performances for the Aussies in the shortest format of the game. He was a part of the GT team that won IPL 2022 and is currently playing for the Imad Wasim-led Karachi Kings in Pakistan Super League.
4. Gujarat Titans star David Miller
South African star David Miller played a key role in the Titans’ championship win last year. Miller finished off the matches for the team and ensured they won the close games. Miller is currently playing for the Multan Sultans team in PSL 2023, under the captaincy of Mohammad Rizwan.
