Gujarat Titans suffered their sixth loss of IPL 2024 earlier today against Royal Challengers Bengaluru at the Narendra Modi Stadium. The former champions failed to defend a 201-run target on home turf, which also marked their third consecutive defeat in front of their home audience.
Royal Challengers Bengaluru will now host Gujarat Titans for a match at the M Chinnaswamy Stadium on May 4, 2024. It is the reverse fixture between the two sides, and GT have fond memories of playing in Bengaluru because last year, they knocked RCB out of the competition at this venue only.

1. Gujarat Titans should drop Mohit Sharma for Kartik Tyagi
Mohit Sharma stunned everyone by almost winning the Purple Cap in IPL 2023. However, in the last two matches, batters have completely destroyed his bowling. Perhaps, it’s time to give Sharma a break and bring a fresh name like Kartik Tyagi to the team. Kartik is known for his extra pace and death bowling skills.
2. Umesh Yadav in for Sandeep Warrier
Umesh Yadav has played multiple IPL seasons for the Royal Challengers Bengaluru in the past. He knows about the conditions at the M Chinnaswamy Stadium. Considering that Sandeep Warrier got only one over against RCB today, they should bench him for Yadav.
3. BR Sharath in for Wriddhiman Saha
Wriddhiman Saha has failed in a majority of the matches for Gujarat in IPL 2024. The team management must allow some other player to take his place now. The best option available is wicketkeeper BR Sharath, who was dropped after just one game against LSG.
