    A T20 century is never easy. Similarly, scoring a hundred in the IPL is not a daily sight. The Indian Premier League was started back in 2008, and since then 93 hundreds have been scored in the IPL so far. Most of the centuries have come in the first innings.

    Because the pressure is less while hitting centuries in a chase. Notably, Jos Buttler has three centuries in a chase, which is the most. However, over the years, only a few matches have seen multiple centuries. But there are only four occasions in the IPL when a century has been registered in both innings of the game.

    1. SRH vs RCB in 2023

    The first such game was played between SRH and RCB in 2023 in Hyderabad. Batting first, SRH made a total of 186/5, with Heinrich Klaasen scoring 104 off 51 with 8 fours and six sixes in the first inning. In reply, RCB reached the target of 187/2 in 19.2 overs and won. Virat Kohli scored 100 off 63 in the chase, and RCB won.

    2. RCB vs GT in 2023

    The second instance came in 2023, only in a game between RCB and GT at M. Chinnaswamy Stadium. RCB scored a total of 197/5 in the first inning. Virat Kohli scored an unbeaten 101 off 61 balls, with 13 fours and one six. But RCB couldn’t defend the title as GT made 198/4 in 19.1 overs to win. Shubman Gill scored an unbeaten 104 off 52.

    3. RR vs RCB in 2024

    The third instance came in 2024, when Rajasthan Royals faced Royal Challengers Bengaluru in Jaipur. It was RCB that batted first and scored 183/3. Virat Kohli was the lone survivor, scoring 113 not out from 72 balls with 12 fours and four sixes. But his century came in a losing cause as RR made 189/4 in 19.1 overs to win. Jos Buttler scored an unbeaten 100 off 58 runs to help his team.

    4. KKR vs RR in 2024

    The most recent match was played between KKR and RR at Eden Gardens on April 16, 2024. It was KKR that batted first and went on to score a massive total of 223/6. It was because of a brilliant maiden ton from Sunil Narine, who scored 109 off 56 balls with 13 fours and six sixes. RR started well but kept losing wickets in the middle. At one stage, they needed 96 off 36 balls with five wickets left. Then, Jos Buttler slammed an unbeaten 107 off 60 to take RR to the highest IPL chase.
