Zimbabwe is not considered among the strongest teams when one looks at the list of the Test-playing nations in cricket. Generally, the top-tier teams send their ‘B’ squads whenever they have a tour of Zimbabwe. India have done the same thing, and currently, quite a few star players have been rested for the ongoing ICC Cricket World Cup Super League series against the African nation.

India also toured Zimbabwe in 2010 and 2016, where multiple players made their debuts. KL Rahul made his debut in 2016 and is the captain of the team, but there are some players who never got a chance to play again after making their ODI and T20I debut in the Africa nation and never played in that format again.

    1. Faiz Fazal scored a fifty on debut against Zimbabwe

Left-handed batter Faiz Fazal received his maiden ODI cap during India’s tour of the African nation in 2016. Fazal scored 55 runs in that match, but he never got another chance to don the blue jersey.

    2. Mandeep Singh

Another opener to feature on the list is Mandeep Singh. He played three T20Is against the Zimbabwean outfit, aggregating 87 runs. But just like Fazal, he never received another opportunity in T20I games.

    3. Pankaj Singh made his ODI debut against Zimbabwe in 2010

Fast bowler Pankaj Singh was a part of the Indian squad that visited the African nation for a tri-series in 2010. He played just a solitary game and it proved to be the only ODI match of his career.

    4. Naman Ojha

Wicket-keeper batter Naman Ojha started his ODI journey against the Sri Lankan outfit in the tri-series of 2010. He was dropped from the team after his debut and never played ODI cricket again for India.
