After the 2022 T20 World Cup, India will be involved in a series with Bangladesh. This series will involve two Tests. Although it will be part of the World Test Championship, India might try out a few experiments in this series. On that note, in this article, we take a look at four Indians who could debut in the Bangladesh Test series in November this year.

Since the regulars will be coming from the 2022 T20 World Cup, they will need some rest. With the next WTC cycle to start in 2023, India will be keen to try out a few names. Hence, the Bangladesh assignment could offer a good chance for this.

1) Sarfaraz Khan

Sarfaraz Khan is one of the Indians who could debut in the Bangladesh Test series in November this year. The Mumbai batter has been in terrific form in the last two Ranji Trophy seasons. He is scoring runs consistently and it is difficult for the selectors to look past the batter and the current form that he is in. India anyways would need options in the middle-order and the 24-year-old will be in a good spot to take one of those spots. Hence, he is likely to make his debut in the series.

2) Suryakumar Yadav

SKY was picked by Team India when the nation toured England in 2021. Although he was a replacement player, SKY is still in the plans when it comes to Test cricket. Although even SKY would be coming from the T20 World Cup, he will have a chance to feature in this tournament. Therefore, he is also one of the names on this list.

3) KS Bharat

KS Bharat is also one of the Indians who could debut in the Bangladesh Test series in November this year. Assuming Rishabh Pant would play in the upcoming games, it is unlikely that KS Bharat would get to make his debut anytime soon. However, he is in good form and deserves an opportunity at the earliest. Against Bangladesh, there is a chance that Pant would be rested because he would be coming from the World Cup. Hence, this gives an opportunity for the Andhra Pradesh batter to make his debut.

4) Shahbaz Ahmed

Ravindra Jadeja is the first pick when it comes to the role of the left-arm spinner. Axar Patel is second on the list and in the games at home, both these players are likely to play. However, since Jaddu is suffering from too many injuries, the management might start developing a good backup. Although Saurabh Kumar from Uttar Pradesh had already been selected once for the squad, this time around, it could be Shahbaz Ahmed who could get the nod. This is mainly because the West Bengal cricketer did well in the 2022 Ranji Trophy. Also, he offers better value with the bat than Saurabh and hence, he could get to make his debut.
