    New Zealand is one of the top cricketing nations on earth right now. Nicknamed the Blackcaps, the New Zealand cricket team made it to the finals of the 2019 Cricket World Cup and the ICC T20 World Cup 2021. They also won the ICC World Test Championship trophy in the year 2021.

    Last year, South Africa’s Devon Conway switched to the Blackcaps and quickly became an important member of the team. While Conway never played international cricket for South Africa, the following four current Kiwi stars played for another nation before switching to the Blackcaps.

    1. Luke Ronchi played for Australia before joining New Zealand

    Former Kiwi wicket-keeper batter Luke Ronchi started his international journey with Australia in 2008. After playing a few games for the Aussies, he decided to switch to the Blackcaps. Ronchi was a part of the Kiwi squad that finished runners-up at the 2015 Cricket World Cup.

    The latest overseas player to join the Blackcaps is fast-bowling all-rounder Michael Rippon.
