Pune Warriors and Rising Pune Supergiant were two franchises who represented the city of Pune in the Indian Premier League. The first team to represent the city were the Warriors who played from 2011 to 2013 but never qualified for the playoffs. Yuvraj Singh was the face of the franchise, while some big names like Sourav Ganguly, Aaron Finch, Michael Clarke, Ashish Nehra and Bhuvneshwar Kumar also played for the team.

1. Ashok Dinda played for Pune Warriors and Rising Pune Supergiant
Former Indian fast bowler Ashok Dinda represented both the Pune franchises. Dinda played 20 games for PWI, scalping 25 wickets at an economy rate of 8.68. He played the final two seasons of his career for RPS, where he bagged 12 wickets in 12 games.
2. Mitchell Marsh played for Pune Warriors and Rising Pune Supergiant
Mitchell Marsh has played only 29 IPL matches, but he has been a part of five franchises. Two of them were PWI and RPS. He scored 191 runs in 14 games for PWI, whereas for RPS, he aggregated just seven runs in three games.
3. Steve Smith
Current Australian star Steve Smith was the only player who captained both the Pune-based franchises. Smith could not lead the PWI team well, but he took RPS to the final in 2017.
4. Ishwar Pandey
Madhya Pradesh-based fast bowler Ishwar Pandey was once considered among the top pacers in India. He played for Pune Warriors and warmed the benches for RPS in the IPL.
