Chennai Super Kings (CSK) is a team which is known for bringing out the best out of almost every player. Over the years, fans have witnessed that the players who were struggling with form or failed to make an impact in other teams ended up becoming match-winners for the Chennai-based franchise.

1. Former CSK fast bowler Mark Wood
England’s pace bowler Mark Wood made his IPL debut for Chennai Super Kings back in 2018. He bowled an expensive spell of 0/49 against MI. Soon after, he got injured and never played again for Chennai. The team management released him as well.
Wood then joined the Lucknow Super Giants in 2022. He missed the first season due to injury. Finally, in 2023, Wood made his debut for LSG and bagged a five-wicket haul on debut against the Delhi Capitals.
2. Former CSK batter Faf du Plessis
It was quite surprising to see Chennai release Faf du Plessis in 2022 and then not chase him hard at the auction. The South African star joined RCB and became their captain. He led RCB to the playoffs in 2022. Right now, he is the third highest run-scorer in IPL 2023 so far.
3. Josh Hazlewood
Another ex-CSK star who is performing well for RCB is Josh Hazlewood. He is yet to join the squad in the 2023 season, but Hazlewood was sensational with the ball for RCB last season.
4. R Sai Kishore
R Sai Kishore warmed the benches in Chennai Super Kings dugout for multiple seasons. Gujarat Titans signed him in 2022, and the game changed for him. He made his debut and played a vital role in GT’s win.
