Krunal Pandya is likely to lead the Lucknow Super Giants in his absence, and as per a report by PTI, KL Rahul could miss the rest of the season as well. Quinton de Kock may replace him as the team’s opener, but the team will need someone in the middle-order. Here’s a list of the four unsold Indian players whom LSG can consider signing as a replacement.

    1. Karun Nair can replace KL Rahul

Karun Nair is a player who has been asking for an opportunity to prove himself once again at the grand stage. He was with the Rajasthan Royals last season, but the Jaipur-based franchise could not give a proper role to him. Perhaps, LSG could sign him and help him revive his career.

    2. Gurkeerat Singh can replace KL Rahul

Gurkeerat Singh Mann was a member of the Gujarat Titans team that won the IPL last year. Singh is a finisher who can add a lot of depth to the LSG batting lineup. Plus, he can bowl a few overs of spin as well.

    3. Mohammad Azharuddeen

Kerala’s Mohammad Azharuddeen announced his arrival with a ton against Mumbai in Syed Mushtaq Ali T20 Trophy. He is yet to get a chance in the IPL, and he can be a great replacement as an opener for Rahul.

    4. Abhimanyu Easwaran

If Lucknow want another opener who can play the anchor’s role at the top, Abhimanyu Easwaran can be a good replacement for Rahul. Easwaran was in contention to join Delhi Capitals recently, but he could not make the cut.
