Lucknow Super Giants will look to make some changes to their squad for the IPL 2024 season. The Lucknow-based franchise have made a name for themselves with their abilities to form the best squads at the auctions. Their team has even finished in the Top 4 of the two seasons they have played.

However, the Super Giants have always fallen short in the Eliminator only. Last year, Rajat Patidar’s century helped the Royal Challengers Bangalore beat the Lucknow-based franchise in the Eliminator, and this year, Akash Madhwal’s five-wicket haul helped MI eliminate Lucknow.

LSG have some of the world’s best players, but they will likely want to release some of them for the team’s betterment before the IPL 2024 Auction.

    1. Lucknow Super Giants may not retain Deepak Hooda for IPL 2024

Deepak Hooda had one of the worst IPL seasons by any batter in the tournament’s history. His batting average was less than 10 despite receiving so many chances. Last night, Hooda was involved in three run-outs in the most important match, and it is likely that Hooda will be released.

    2. Lucknow Super Giants may not retain Avesh Khan for IPL 2024

LSG stunned the fans when they bought Avesh Khan for INR 10 crore in 2022. While Avesh is a wicket-taking bowler, he often ends up leaking too many runs. Since LSG have some other talented Indian pacers, they may let go of Avesh.

    3. Quinton de Kock

Quinton de Kock was shockingly benched by LSG throughout the first half of the season. He arrived late due to national duty, and Kyle Mayers performed well in his absence. Mayers was even preferred over de Kock in the Eliminator. Since de Kock is a world class player, it will be better for both parties if he returns to the auction pool.

    4. Jaydev Unadkat

Left-arm pacer Jaydev Unadkat played three matches for LSG. He failed to take any wickets and ended up leaking runs at an economy rate of 11.50. It should not be a surprise if he returns to the auction pool.
