    ICC T20 World Cup 2021 took place in the United Arab Emirates and Oman last year. The Australian cricket team won its maiden T20 World Cup title last year. The four teams which made it to the semifinals from the Super 12 round were Australia, New Zealand, Pakistan and England.

    Apart from that, teams like India, South Africa, West Indies, Bangladesh, Sri Lanka and Afghanistan were also in the tournament. All nations entered the tournament with star-studded squads. However, a few fans might have forgotten that the following four names were also in the squads.

    1. Rahul Chahar played for India in ICC T20 World Cup 2021

    Leg-spinner Rahul Chahar surprisingly made the cut to the Indian squad for the mega event which happened last year. Chahar has not played international cricket for the Men in Blue since then. He is also absent from the Indian T20 World Cup 2022 squad. Yuzvendra Chahal is the lead leg-spinner for India in this tournament.

    Veteran New Zealand spinner Todd Astle was a part of the Blackcaps squad that made it to the semifinals of the T20 World Cup last year. Astle is a leg-spin bowler.

    3. Sarfaraz Ahmed played for Pakistan in ICC T20 World Cup 2021

    Former Pakistan cricket team captain Sarfaraz Ahmed was a part of the Men in Green squad that featured in the mega event last year. Pakistan topped the points table of their group in the Super 12s. Mohammad Rizwan kept the wickets in all the matches, which is why Ahmed was on the bench.

    Not many fans would remember that all-rounder Daniel Christian was a part of the Australian squad that lifted the ICC T20 World Cup trophy. Christian was one of the many all-rounders present in the Aussie squad for the mega event.
