Nida Dar’s fifty helped Pakistan post a total of 137 at the end of their 20 overs. Although the target looked below-par, the Pakistani bowlers did well to keep their opponents in check. The bowlers combinedly bowled well to restrict India to just 124, taking away a 13-run win in the continental cup.

After the win, many former and current Pakistani cricketers posted congratulatory messages for the women’s team on their incredible comeback. Even current Pakistani cricketer Imam Ul Haq took to Twitter to send a message to his country’s women’s cricket team.

Pakistan Women are currently ranked No.2 just below their arch-rivals India in the points table. They have three wins in four games, the same as India, who are on top because of their superior net run rate. The Women in Green will next play the UAE Women’s on Sunday (October 9).

Another India-Pakistan on the way

India and Pakistan will take on each other once again in just two weeks but in men’s cricket. They will lock horns in the ICC T20 World Cup 2022 in Australia. The last time the two sides met, Pakistan humiliated India as they registered a 10-wicket win in a dominating manner.

The Men in Blue will want to avenge their loss this time. Pakistan, on the other hand, will want to continue scripting history by defeating their direct rivals and sending a message to the rest of the teams participating in the marquee event.
