West Indies is in the worst phase of its cricket history at the moment. The Caribbean team lacks the ability to perform well consistently, and in the ongoing T20 World Cup 2022 tournament, they failed to make it past Round 1 of the mega event. One of them will be the change in the head coach. The current head coach Phil Simmons has already said that he will step down from his position after the conclusion of the ICC World Test Championship series against the Australian cricket team. 2. Misbah-ul-Haq can become new head coach of West Indies
Former Pakistan head coach Misbah-ul-Haq has got a lot of experience of coaching. Also, he was the captain of Pakistan for a long time and knows how to use the available resources well. He can help the Caribbean side improve their game.
3. Wasim Akram
Former Pakistan fast bowler Wasim Akram has served as a coach for IPL team Kolkata Knight Riders as well as a few teams in the PSL. Akram could be a fantastic choice for this role.
4. Danish Kaneria
If the Pakistan team wants to think out of the box, they can try hiring a spinner like Danish Kaneria. Danish currently runs a YouTube channel, where he regularly shares his views about the game. If he has interest in coaching and WI approach him, he could try helping the team attain their previous position.
