There was a lot of demand for the Punjab youngster at the auctions. Rightfully so because of the kind of skills he has and the impact he can have on the game.
1) Royal Challengers Bengaluru
RCB wanted some options for the No.3 role. Hence, they went for Naman Dhir, who would have been perfect for the side. However, the competition was intense, and hence, RCB could not sign him. Now, Devdutt Padikkal plays at No.3 for RCB.
2) Rajasthan Royals wanted Naman Dhir for IPL 2025
Rajasthan Royals were clear about Sanju Samson opening the batting along with Yashasvi Jaiswal. Hence, they wanted a new No.3. In this regard, they fought hard for Naman Dhir. It was a futile attempt, though. Hence, in the end, RR signed Nitish Rana. He is doing well for the franchise now.
3) Punjab Kings
Punjab Kings usually go after most of the Punjab cricketers. Therefore, they were interested in Naman Dhir, as well. That said, it was for a short while only. PBKS later signed Nehal Wadhera.
4) Delhi Capitals wanted Naman Dhir for IPL 2025
Delhi Capitals is one of the teams which bid for Naman Dhir in the IPL Mega Auctions before MI signed him. DC had the strategy of young Indian domestic batters in the middle order. Therefore, they targeted Naman Dhir. Eventually, the franchise got the likes of Ashutosh Sharma and Sameer Rizvi.
