Mohammed Siraj set the standards extremely high for himself but somehow have been underdelivering consistently for a while now. The last calendar year has been extremely unkind for Siraj and his recent numbers forced RCB to let him go to the auction shelves. While as we all know that RCB can always exercise the RTM card for Siraj, yet it goes without saying that Miyan Magic will be stirring a few paddles in the auction.
Siraj’s brutal pace and swing makes him a prized addition to any team. Despite the
dwindling numbers in recent times, he can still be a threat on any given day and more importantly, his knack for getting key players out has always been a very special talent. With so much to talk about, it goes without saying that he will have a wild whole list of suitors willing to get him in their ranks.
1. SRH
He started his journey at SRH and couldn’t really hit his stride. However, his arrival at RCB changed his fortunes as he only went from strength to strength. SRH had a significant retention list going forth with the prized names of Klaasen, Cummins, Head, Abhishek Sharma and Nitish Kumar Reddy. However, the release of T Natarajan might just have opened up a significant slot for the Orange Army and Siraj might be a much better pick for them in terms of his current form and dominion.
2. Punjab Kings
With Arshdeep Singh back on the auction shelves, PBKS will be looking for someone who can step up and bolster the strength of Punjab Kings. As PBKS continues to build their unit, landing Siraj will give their pace unit a massive catalyst and a leader as well in the bowling echelons. He will also be key in rallying the forces while keeping Punjab in the hunt in terms of his death over heroics.
3. DC
With four retentions, Delhi Capitals will need someone to spearhead their charge and Siraj can be the right man to lead their pace battery. Over the years, Miyan has been wreaking havoc in the RCB threads and his prowess with the new ball and in the death makes him someone yo watch out for. He can be a value addition to the young side of DC.
4. GT
With Mohammed Shami unsure, Gujarat Titans maybe inclined in getting someone who can actually get the wheels rolling in the new edition of the tournament. Mohammed Siraj makes a very good option to be a crucial part of the GT side and his clinical precision makes him a good replacement for Mohammed Shami who was the nexus of GT’s fast bowling unit.
