Interestingly, both bowlers played together for Delhi Daredevils in the 2008 season. While McGrath took 12 wickets in 14 matches, Asif accounted for eight wickets in eight matches.

    2. Shahid Afridi was the most expensive player from Pakistan in IPL 2008

    Former Pakistan captain Shahid Afridi represented the Deccan Chargers in the tournament. It was the only IPL season, where Pakistan cricketers participated. Afridi was the most expensive player sold, with his salary being INR 2.71 crore.

    Virat Kohli generally opens the innings for RCB in IPL or bats at the number three or four position. However, not many fans would know that in the 2008 season, Kohli once came out to bat at number eight against Delhi Daredevils at his home ground of Arun Jaitley Stadium.
