1. Liam Plunkett played his last match in 2019 Cricket World Cup
Fast bowler Liam Plunkett was one of the top performers for England in the 2019 WC Final against New Zealand. However, he never got another chance to represent the nation. Plunkett now plays in USA.
2. Thisara Perera retired shortly after 2019 Cricket World Cup
Former Sri Lankan captain Thisara Perera was a member of the island nation’s squad in the 2019 edition of the mega event. After a dispute with the board, Perera announced retirement.
3. Milinda Siriwardana
Milinda Siriwardana played the last match of his international career in the 2019 WC. It was for Sri Lanka against Australia at The Oval. Earlier this year, Siriwardana turned up for Far West United in Nepal T20.
4. Abu Jayed
Bangladesh fast bowler Abu Jayed was picked in the World Cup squad, but he did not get to play any matches. Jayed has not played a single white-ball game for Bangladesh since May 2019.
5. Beuran Hendricks
South African left-arm fast bowler Beuran Hendricks made his ODI debut in 2019 but has played only eight matches so far. He continues to play domestic cricket in South Africa but has been missing from the international arena for a long time now.
