Quite a few international cricketers’ sons have followed the footsteps of their father and become cricketers. Some of them have already played international cricket and retired as well. Former West Indies cricketer Shivnarine Chanderpaul will always be remembered for his unique stance in cricket. Shivnarine has a son named Tagenarine Chanderpaul. Cricket West Indies have picked in their squad for the upcoming Test series against Australia.
2. Sachin Tendulkar’s son
Former Indian captain Sachin Tendulkar has a son named Arjun. He is a bowling all-rounder. Mumbai Indians picked him in their squad in IPL 2021 and 2022, but he is yet to play a match.
3. RP Singh’s son
It might surprise a few fans but the son of former Indian cricketer RP Singh has been selected in England’s U-19 team. His name is Harry Singh, and he could play for the England senior team soon.
4. Makhaya Ntini’s son
Former South African speedster Makhaya Ntini has a son named Thando. He has already represented South Africa at the U-19 level.
“I started playing cricket in the passages of hotels with the Proteas as a three-year-old. My father played, so I followed in his footsteps,” Thando said in an interview with ICC.
5. Steve Waugh’s son
Former Australian cricketer Steve Waugh’s son Austin Waugh is also prepping up to become an international cricketer. He has also been a part of Australia’s U-19 team.
