ICC T20 World Cup is the grandest T20I event in the world. Nations from all across the world compete in qualifying tournaments to earn a place in the biggest event. This year, 16 teams, namely Scotland, Netherlands, Ireland, Zimbabwe, UAE, West Indies, Sri Lanka, Namibia, India, Australia, Pakistan, South Africa, Bangladesh, Afghanistan, England and New Zealand will compete in the T20 WC.
Ahead of the mega event, all teams tend to launch their special jerseys for the tournament. Over the last 15 years, fans have witnessed some masterclass jerseys, while some jerseys were used once or not used at all after a grand launching. Here’s a look at five forgotten T20 World Cup jerseys.
1. The jersey which India never wore in T20 World Cup
India launched a tricolor kit for the ICC T20 WC in 2012. It had the colors saffron, white and green on one shoulder, while the rest of the jersey was of blue color. However, just before the mega event, the BCCI reverted to the 2011 World Cup jersey.
2. Sri Lanka’s T20 WC 2007 jersey
