Legends League Cricket 2023 is currently underway in India. It is the second edition of the league, and this year, some big names of the cricket world have signed up to play in LLC. Two new teams, namely Urbanrisers Hyderabad and Southern Superstars have joined Gujarat Giants, Bhilwara Kings, India Capitals and Manipal Tigers in LLC.
Nine matches of the tournament have already happened across Ranchi, Dehradun and Jammu. A few more games are still left, and here’s a look at the five former Chennai Super Kings cricketers, who are playing in Legends League.
1. Suresh Raina is a captain in Legends League Cricket 2023
Suresh Raina is the skipper of the newly-formed Urbanrisers Hyderabad team in LLC 2023. Interestingly, this team also has yellow as their jersey color in the league.
2. Parthiv Patel is a captain in Legends League Cricket 2023
Former CSK wicketkeeper Parthiv Patel is also a skipper in LLC 2023. Patel is the captain of his home franchise Gujarat Giants, which also features Chris Gayle.
3. Pawan Negi
Pawan Negi came into the limelight after his explosive performances for CSK in IPL. He also represented India in one T20I. Negi is currently playing for the Southern Superstars in LLC 2023.
4. Irfan Pathan
Former CSK all-rounder Irfan Pathan is also leading a team in the Legends League this year. Pathan was a part of CSK but never played a game for them. He is captaining the Bhilwara Kings team.
5. Shane Watson
Shane Watson has a special place in the hearts of the CSK fans for his efforts in IPL 2018 and 2019 Finals. Watson is playing under Pathan’s captaincy for the Bhilwara Kings.
