Legends League Cricket 2023 is currently underway in India, with six franchises competing against each other in a tournament of retired cricketers. The names of the six teams are Manipal Tigers, Gujarat Giants, Bhilwara Kings, Southern Superstars, Urbanrisers Hyderabad and India Capitals.
It is a T20 tournament, which is happening in India. Hence, the franchises have tried to sign former IPL stars, including ex-players of the joint-most successful Indian Premier League franchise, Mumbai Indians. Here are five former MI players who are playing in Legends League Cricket 2023.
1. Harbhajan Singh is a captain in Legends League Cricket 2023
Harbhajan Singh is the captain of the Manipal Tigers team in LLC 2023. He was the first captain of the Mumbai Indians team in IPL. Singh led the Tigers in LLC 2022 also.
2. Parthiv Patel is a captain in Legends League Cricket 2023
Parthiv Patel was a part of the Mumbai Indians squad, which won the Indian Premier League in 2017. In fact, he played a key role in the team’s success. He is leading the Gujarat Giants team now.
3. Mitchell McClenaghan
Former New Zealand fast bowler Mitchell McClenaghan made a name for himself with his fantastic performances for the Mumbai Indians in IPL. He is playing for the Manipal Tigers now.
4. Ben Dunk
Former Australian wicketkeeper batter Ben Dunk had earned a contract from the Mumbai Indians after his impressive showing in the Big Bash League. Dunk plays for the India Capitals in LLC 2023.
5. Dilhara Fernando
Former Sri Lankan pacer Dilhara Fernando was a member of the Mumbai Indians team in the initial seasons of the Indian Premier League. Fernando is also playing for India Capitals in LLC 2023.
