    Pune Warriors participated in three IPL seasons from 2011 to 2013. In 2011, IPL introduced two new teams, namely Pune and Kochi Tuskers Kerala. Kochi played only one season, and it exited before the 2012 season started.

    Pune played in three seasons before leaving the tournament in 2013/14. In all three seasons, Pune finished in the bottom two of the points table. However, it does not mean that Pune had a bad squad. In fact, five of the former PWI players are now playing in Legends tournaments.

    1. Former Pune Warriors opener Jesse Ryder

    New Zealand’s destructive all-rounder Jesse Ryder represented Pune in two seasons of IPL in 2011 and 2012. He retired early, but he is back now, playing across various tournaments of retired players.

    2. Former Pune Warriors captain Ross Taylor

    Ross Taylor captained Pune in just one match, where they defeated Chennai Super Kings. Taylor has also retired now, and he will be in action for Colombo Lions in Legends Cricket Trophy soon.

    3. Yuvraj Singh

    Yuvraj Singh was the first skipper of the Pune franchise in the IPL. The former Indian all-rounder retired in 2019, but he is active in Road Safety World Series and Legends Cricket Trophy.

    4. Aaron Finch

    Another former skipper of the Pune franchise to feature on the list is Aaron Finch. The Australian star has quit international cricket, but he will turn up for Kandy Samp Army in Legends Cricket Trophy.

    5. Rahul Sharma

    Former Indian leg-spinner Rahul Sharma came into the spotlight after his impressive performances for Pune in IPL. Sharma recently retired and started playing in leagues of retired cricketers.
