    BCCI announced the annual retainership list for the Indian senior men’s cricket team yesterday on their official website. The board has announced the four categories, where different players have been placed based on their performances for the Indian cricket team at the international level.

    The highest category is known as Grade A+, wherein the players will earn INR 7 crore annually. Below that, the categories are Grade A, Grade B, and Grade C, with the salaries being INR 5 crore, 3 crore and 1 crore, respectively. Five new names are present in the Grade C category. Here’s a list of the five names:

    1. Ishan Kishan earned his 1st contract from BCCI

    Ishan Kishan has made it to the list of contracted players after some excellent performances in white-ball cricket. Kishan also earned a Test call-up recently for the Border-Gavaskar Trophy series against Australia.

    2. Sanju Samson earned his 1st contract from BCCI

    Another wicket-keeper batter to feature on the list is Sanju Samson. The wicket-keeper made his debut back in 2015, but he received his first central contract in 2023 and will earn INR 1 crore annually now.

    3. Deepak Hooda

    All-rounder Deepak Hooda made his debut last year and quickly cemented his place in the T20I team. He has also been in and out of the Indian ODI team over the past few months.

    4. Arshdeep Singh

    Left-arm fast bowler Arshdeep Singh also made his debut for India last year only and became an important member of the squad. Singh earned a Grade C category contract.

    5. KS Bharat

    KS Bharat finally made his Test debut after waiting for a long, long time. Bharat is yet to prove himself as a match-winner for India, but the board has recognized his talent and awarded him with a Grade C contract.
