Indian cricketers have earned a lot of praise from the fans because of their top-quality performances in the ODI format. The 50-over format is the one, where India has achieved a lot of success in the last 15 years. The Men in Blue have won the Cricket World Cup, ICC Champions Trophy and Asia Cup in this format in the last 15 years.

One of the major reasons behind Team India’s success has been the cut-throat competition between the Indian cricketers for a place in the Indian ODI team. There have been some major changes in the squad, and here’s a look five cricketers who have not retired but may never play in ODIs again for India.

    1. One of the top Indian cricketers – Manish Pandey

When Manish Pandey scored a ton against Australia in 2016, it seemed like India have found their solution to the middle-order woes. However, Pandey’s inconsistency led to his exit from the team in the year 2021. Looking at his recent form, he may not be able to make a comeback.

    2. One of the top Indian cricketers – Krishnappa Gowtham

Krishnappa Gowtham surprisingly made his ODI debut against Sri Lanka in 2021. It was his only ODI appearance, and his recent performances hint that he may not be come back soon. Fans who follow Tamil Cricket News would know that he was with CSK in 2021, but did not play in that season. He moved to LSG after that.

    3. Cheteshwar Pujara

Cheteshwar Pujara did not have a stay in the Indian ODI team. He played five ODIs from 2013 to 2014, scoring 51 runs. It is highly unlikely that Pujara would play ODIs again.

    4. Siddarth Kaul

Current Indian pacer Siddarth Kaul has been performing well in domestic cricket. However, Kaul remained wicketless in the three ODIs he played for India in 2018. It seems unlikely that he will play again for India.

    5. Kedar Jadhav

Kedar Jadhav made a surprising return to IPL as part of RCB this year. He has been performing well in domestic matches as well, but the BCCI may not consider him for ODIs again, having dropped him in 2020.
