Maharaja T20 Trophy 2024 has started in Bengaluru. The iconic M Chinnaswamy Stadium is playing host to this six-team tournament, where Gulbarga Mystics, Hubli Tigers, Bengaluru Blasters, Mangalore Dragons, Mysore Warriors and Shivamogga Lions are competing against each other.
Like Tamil Nadu has its own T20 league, Maharaja T20 Trophy is the premier league organized by the Karnataka State Cricket Association (KSCA). All big names of Karnataka cricket are involved in the tournament. In fact, some of the well-known IPL stars are playing as well. Here’s a list of five such players.
1. Devdutt Padikkal is playing in Maharaja T20 Trophy 2024
Lucknow Super Giants batter Devdutt Padikkal is one of the top batters in Indian cricket right now. He made his Test debut earlier this year, and right now, he is playing for the Gulbarga Mystics team in Maharaja T20.
2. Prasidh Krishna is playing in Maharaja T20 Trophy 2024
Rajasthan Royals fast bowler Prasidh Krishna was a member of the Indian squad that finished runners-up in the 2023 ODI World Cup. He is playing for the Mysore Warriors team in this competition organized by KSCA.
3. Mayank Agarwal
Mayank Agarwal turned up for the Sunrisers Hyderabad in IPL 2024. He has represented Royal Challengers Bengaluru as well, and in Maharaja T20, he is playing for the Bengaluru Blasters team.
4. Manish Pandey
Manish Pandey won the IPL 2024 trophy with Kolkata Knight Riders earlier this year. The right-handed batter is one of the most experienced names present in the Hubli Tigers squad.
5. Shreyas Gopal
Leg-spinner Shreyas Gopal has had stints with Mumbai Indians, Rajasthan Royals and Sunrisers Hyderabad in the IPL. The seasoned campaigner is turning up for the Mangalore Dragons team in this competition.
