The Bangalore-based franchise surprised everyone when they decided to rope in Australian all-rounder Cameron Green for a whopping 17.5 crore from the Mumbai Indians during the trading window.
Royal Challengers Bangalore are left with 23.75 crore in their purse ahead of the IPL 2024 Auction. They still have to sign some players to fill up the squad. Here are five players they should target.
1. RCB should target Mitchell Starc at IPL 2024 Auction
RCB should be looking to get back Mitchell Starc, who has confirmed to be a part of the auction. Starc has played for RCB before, and he can be a game-changer with the ball for Bangalore.
2. RCB should target Vivrant Sharma at IPL 2024 Auction
Sunrisers Hyderabad raised quite a few eyebrows when they let go of Vivrant Sharma before the auction. Sharma scored a brilliant half-century at Wankhede Stadium and can be backed to perform well at M Chinnaswamy Stadium.
3. Wanindu Hasaranga
RCB have probably released Sri Lankan all-rounder Wanindu Hasaranga because of his hefty price tag. If they can buy him for 6-8 crore at the auction, it will be a good investment.
4. Shivam Mavi
RCB need some Indian pacers, who can partner with Mohammed Siraj in the bowling attack. Shivam Mavi, who made his T20I debut for India, earlier this year can be a fantastic choice.
5. Shardul Thakur
Shardul Thakur is a player who can excel on the batting-friendly conditions at the M Chinnaswamy Stadium. Thakur can be an asset for RCB team if he is signed and used well.
