As Rajasthan Royals gear up for the IPL 2025 mega-auction they will be hopeful of getting in big names for themselves. With Sanju Samson, Yashasvi Jaiswal, Riyan Parag, Dhruv Jurel, Sandeep Sharma and Shimron Hetmyer retained, they will be hopeful of bringing in big names in the side who can provide balance and at the same time get the perfect dose of attack as well.
With so much of speculations around the corner, here are five players that RR might try and get in the upcoming IPL 2025 mega-auction:
1. RR may target Mohammed Shami at IPL 2025 Auction
The experienced Indian fast-bowler was released by Gujarat Titans considering the fact that he is not fully fit. However, his return to Ranji Trophy and him being announced as a part of the Syed Mushtaq Ali Trophy for Bengal is simply a clarification of the fact that he is alright and he will be coming all guns blazing. A fit Mohammed Shami is going to be an absolute boon for Rajasthan Royals.
2. RR may target Quinton de Kock at IPL 2025 Auction
With Jos Buttler released, RR will be eyeing somewhat of a similar player and who better than Quinton de Kock to be a part of the RR set-up. An experienced campaigner both with the gloves and the bat in his hands, QDK can also be a game-changer. More importantly, his hard-hitting is something that can be a rock at the top.
3. Arshdeep Singh
With Sandeep Sharma in the mix, a good quality left-arm seamer can be a real game-changer for Rajasthan Royals. His experience with India makes Arshdeep a very hard contender to deal with. His burst of brilliance with the new ball in his hand laced with his death over spells and his hard-hitting flair makes him a great addition to RR.
4. KL Rahul
With the batting inconsistency in place, KL Rahul can be a massive addition to the RR side. Rahul is a phenomenal striker of the ball and more importantly, his class and hard-hitting flair sets him apart from the others. He also gets in brilliant wicket-keeping option while offering his leadership alongside Sanju Samson.
5. Venkatesh Iyer
Venky Iyer is a stunning striker of the ball and more importantly, his destructive nature with the bat in his hands, sets him apart. Iyer has formerly carried KKR on his shoulders and has proven his mettle over time that he can be floated throughout the batting order and more importantly his all-round skill and recent form in the Ranji Trophy makes him a great value addition to RR.
