IPL 2022 concluded last Sunday with a match between the Rajasthan Royals and the Gujarat Titans at the Narendra Modi Stadium in Ahmedabad. Hardik Pandya’s Titans won the match by seven wickets and became the new champions of the Indian Premier League.
74 matches happened in IPL 2022, with six stadiums hosting the matches. Almost all players who were a part of the IPL squads played in the long IPL season. However, there were a few names who missed out, and some even had a salary of more than 1 crore.

1. Jayant Yadav earned 1.7 crore in IPL 2022
Gujarat Titans splurged 1.7 crore to sign Jayant Yadav at the mega auction. Yadav is a capped Indian bowler, but the Titans did not pick him in their playing XI for a single game.
2. Dominic Drakes earned 1.1 crore in IPL 2022
Another player from Gujarat Titans to feature on the list is Dominic Drakes. The Caribbean all-rounder warmed the benches but got a chance to lift his second IPL trophy.
3. Glenn Phillips earned 1.5 crore in IPL 2022
SunRisers Hyderabad shelled out 1.5 crore to sign New Zealand wicket-keeper Glenn Phillips at the mega auction. Even though Kane Williamson was not in good form, SRH kept Phillips on the bench.
4. Mohammad Nabi – 1 crore
Afghanistan all-rounder Mohammad Nabi received a contract worth 1 crore from the Kolkata Knight Riders at the mega auction. Since Sunil Narine was a part of the playing XI regularly, Nabi did not get a game.
5. Rajvardhan Hangargekar – 1.5 crore
CSK signed India U-19 star Rajvardhan Hangargekar for 1.5 crore at the mega auction but did not give him his maiden cap. In the final game of the season, MS Dhoni said that Hangargekar needs to improve a bit before playing in IPL.
