    Gujarat Titans splurged 1.7 crore to sign Jayant Yadav at the mega auction. Yadav is a capped Indian bowler, but the Titans did not pick him in their playing XI for a single game.

    Another player from Gujarat Titans to feature on the list is Dominic Drakes. The Caribbean all-rounder warmed the benches but got a chance to lift his second IPL trophy.

    SunRisers Hyderabad shelled out 1.5 crore to sign New Zealand wicket-keeper Glenn Phillips at the mega auction. Even though Kane Williamson was not in good form, SRH kept Phillips on the bench.

    Afghanistan all-rounder Mohammad Nabi received a contract worth 1 crore from the Kolkata Knight Riders at the mega auction. Since Sunil Narine was a part of the playing XI regularly, Nabi did not get a game.

    CSK signed India U-19 star Rajvardhan Hangargekar for 1.5 crore at the mega auction but did not give him his maiden cap. In the final game of the season, MS Dhoni said that Hangargekar needs to improve a bit before playing in IPL.
